Mark Vanderscoff: Reviewing the Conservatorship Process in Marin

Mark Vanderscoff is a Public Guardian with the Office of the Public Guardian, Department of Health and Human Services.

This month's speaker will review the conservatorship process in Marin for the Public Guardian’s Office.

Joining Mark will be the Supervising Deputy Public Guardian, Erica Blengino. 

Mark Vanderscoff has a long history of collaboration and service with county entities and community-based organizations serving older adults and persons with disabilities.  In 2019 Mark was appointed as the Marin County Public Guardian/Conservator.  His office administers conservatorships for the most vulnerable population in Marin, those who have been deemed substantially unable to manage their own affairs due to inability or impairment.  His career also includes management roles in Adult Protective Services, as well as with community-based organizations providing residential services to mentally ill adults. He is the current chair of the Marin County Financial Abuse Specialist Team and oversees Team’s efforts to prevent and prosecute financial abuse of older adults.  Mark lives in Marin, in the community that his office serves.
