February’s Spotlight Speaker was:
Dr. Chris Bacchi and Marci Silverberg, PT
Dr. Bacchi’s education covers many areas of medical practice, giving her the unique perspective of someone who has studied healthcare from different perspectives. She originally earned her undergraduate degree in nursing, which gave her a warm and non-judgmental bedside manner, and went on to work at The National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She earned a master’s degree in Health and Medical Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, and then a medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. She completed her residency at Stanford University.
Marci Silverberg worked for 6 years with CORE physical therapy in San Rafael, helping clients with a variety of musculoskeletal issues, including back, hip, and knee pain, joint pain, and pelvic floor issues. As a staff PT, I worked with women’s health issues, including pre and post-partum rehabilitation. In addition, I’ve engaged with the Institute for Birth Healing, and completed coursework with them and other institutions with topics ranging from women’s health, pregnancy, to internal vaginal work and neurology.
